They should handle it like the EQ card game, where you can play it from within WoW and challenge people in WoW to games and mobs can drop packs of cards.

First wing of Naxx was pretty cool, looking forward to the other 4!
First wing is only free if you play it your first time sometime soon, I recommend everyone check it out!

Well, since you are recommending it and I do like FTL...
My cards are the basic things you get at level 10, and I haven't really played much beyond that. Some how I beat the first boss with one hit point left. The second boss gave me a sound thwacking though. I've been enjoying the game when I have time to play, which isn't much.
